Job Title: Special Assignment Track Coach, East Valley Middle School

Reports to: Athletic Director, Head Track Coach, and Building Principal

Work Schedule: Per WIAA Season (season starts April 8, 2024)

Salary: $17.72 - $22.36 per hour OR $1,000.00 for the season depending on classification. Prorated for actual days served if needed

Job Summary:

The Special Assignment Track Coach works under the direct supervision of the Athletic Director, Head Track Coach, and the Principal. The coach is expected to provide the necessary leadership and to plan, organize, carry out the objectives of the school athletic program, and provide 1:1 supervision for a special needs athlete. This person should be a person of high character and values that will set a positive example for all students in the East Valley School District.

 

This position does NOT include a teaching position in the District. This position is for the 2023-24 school year only.

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  The employee may be required to deal with distraught and/or angry persons and may be exposed to infectious diseases carried by children. The noise level in the work environment is acceptable to this particular environment and can vary depending upon daily activity and sporting events.

 

Evaluation:

The Special Assignment Track Coach shall be evaluated periodically by the Athletic Director pursuant to the currently established district procedures and evaluation criteria. The process shall include an evaluation of the employee’s performance of the above essential job functions and desired skills.
